The Leonel Castillo Academic Center, which houses the HISD East Early College High School, is founded on the principal of serving low-income and underrepresented communities in east Houston, and to offer them an opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an Associate’s degree simultaneously; or credits towards a Bachelor’s degree– tuition free.
